2023 Semester A
ARCH 10001 Class 28
Create a 3D ‘Mario World’ in axonometric projection through hand-drawing and vector-based representation techniques (Adobe Illustrator) based on two 2D Mario World elevations. To determine differences between ‘subjective’ and ‘objective’ views, and define 2d and 3d spatial constructions and their impact on perception.

Digitally design a hybrid surface and composite from a terrain section of Tasmania and a fabric sample from a precedent painting (Madonna and Child) through Rhino and the Paneling Tools plug-in. To explore the relationship between surface and pattern and how each alters visual perception.

Reinterpret a snippet of text from Italo Calvino’s Invisible Cities novel (Thin Cities 4 - Sophronia) within the context of the Old Quad building. To describe a scene/city from the text through Isometric and Perspective representation.
